By means of present Writ Petition, petitioner seeks to direct the third respondent Joint Director of Education 6th Division, Lucknow to declare the merit list for the selection of Assistant Teacher (Math & Science) in Government Inter College, Lucknow for the SC/ST Female candidate. Further prayer has been made that his representation dated 24.11.2016 addressed to the Joint Director of Education 6th Division, Lucknow, may be decided expeditiously.
The matter was taken up on 11.04.2017 and the Court has proceeded to ask the learned Standing Counsel to file response in the matter. In this backdrop, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in spite of sufficient time, the response has not been filed by the petitioner and as such, request has been made that his representation dated 24.11.2016 may be decided by the Competent Authority at the earliest.
Once such is the factual situation, then no purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending.
In view of the above, without entering into the merit of the case, the writ petition, on consent, stands disposed of directing the Joint Director of Education 6th Division, Lucknow, to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner by a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably, within six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
