The simple prayer of the petitioner in this petition for writ is that the appeal bearing no.1546 of 2017 filed by him to challenge the order dated 28.10.2017 passed by the authority competent as per the provisions of Section 3 of U.P. Control of Goondas Act requires expeditious disposal.
It is submitted that the appeal has already been filed and no order on the stay application has been passed by the appellate authority.
Be that as it may, the appeal in question pertains to an order of externment dated 28.10.2017. The period of externment is of six months and as such the early disposal of the appeal is obvious.
Looking to this fact, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition for writ by directing the appellate authority to consider and decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner bearing no.1546 of 2017 expeditiously as far as possible on or before 30th January 2018.
The writ petition, with the observation above, stands disposed of.
