The Court notes that in terms of the affidavit filed in these proceedings, the opposite party has taken the position that under the 1978 Regulations, no quota of 5% for appointment of Junior Engineers from amongst Diploma holders employees is provisioned. The Court notes that the writ petition itself was disposed of without entering any findings on the merits of the claim of the applicant.
Consequently no cause exists for continuance of these proceedings in contempt. The same shall stand disposed of.
