Heard learned counsel for the applicant and Shri Neeraj Upadhyay, the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel.
From the instructions placed on the record, the Court finds that the District Commandant has passed an order on 4 May 2018. In terms of the disclosures made in this order, it is evident that the retiral benefits admitted to the respondent were released in 2017 itself and prior to the passing of the order in the writ petition.
Consequently this petition is dismissed with costs quantified at Rs.5000/- which shall be recovered by the District Magistrate, Meerut from the applicant as arrears of land revenue within a period of one month from today.
