Section 17. General Council

17. There shall be a General Council of the University which shall consist of the following members, namely:

1. Ex-officio Members

(i) The Chancellor who shall be the Chairperson of the General Council,

(ii) The Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary/Secretary in charge of the department of Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Vibhag or his nominee;

(iii) The Commissioner for persons with disabilities, Government of Uttar Pradesh;

(iv) The Chairperson, Rehabilitation Council of India or his nominee,

(v) The Vice-Chancellor of the University, who shall be the Secretary of the General Council

II. Nominated Members

vi) a Vice-Chancellor of a University of Uttar Pradesh to be numinated by the State Government,

(vii) four persons of eminence to be nominated by the State Government;
