Section 28. Transitional provisions

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act and Statutes 1[the first Vice-Chancellor, Executive Council] and the Academic Council shall be nominated by the Council and shall hold office for a term of three years :

Provided that the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kashmir and the University of Jammu shall be ex-officio members of the Executive Council so nominated.
