Since the issue involved in both the
petitions is identical, therefore, these are
being heard and decided together by this
common judgment. However, for brevity,
facts of WPSS No. 920 of 2026 along are
being considered and discussed here.

Petitioner was appointed on a Class-
IV post in District Cooperative Bank,
Pithoragarh in the year 2022. Learned
counsel for the petitioners submits that
in all other Cooperative Banks similarly
situate employees are being paid all
benefits, while petitioners alone are
being subjected to discrimination,
and certain benefits are not being paid to
them.

By means of this writ petition,
petitioner
has
sought
the

relief:-

(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of
mandamus directing the respondents to deduct
the
provident
fund
and
other
statutory
contributions from the salary of the petitioner
