			1. Mr. Shailendra Nauriyal, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Vinay Kumar, learned counsel for the respondent-UJVNL. 3. Mr. S.S. Chaudhary, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 4. Petitioner served as Draftsman in Uttarakhand Jal Vidhyut Nigam Ltd. (in short “UJVNL”). He sought voluntary retirement, which was permitted, and he retired from service on 28.02.2003. According to petitioner, pension was sanctioned to him after retirement and retiral dues were also released in his favour; however, after 7^thPay Revision, he has not been paid revised pension, even though the competent authority sanctioned revised pension in 2022.

By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- (i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing respondents to rightly calculate the pension of the petitioner while giving the benefit of one rank of one pension of scheme. (ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to release the rightly calculated pension of the petitioner forthwith alongwith arrear with interest @ of 18% w.e.f. 01.01.2016.
			6. Mr. Vinay Kumar, learned counsel appearing for UJVNL submits that as per applicable policy, employees of UJVNL, who were granted voluntary retirement, are entitled for adding five years to the total length of service rendered by them

for pension; he submits that benefit of that policy decision was given to petitioner and his pension was revised from ₹30,494/to ₹32,050/w.e.f. 2016, however, due to technical glitch in IFMS Software of Directorate of Pension and Entitlements, actual benefit of revised pension could not be passed on to the petitioner. 7. Learned counsel for the UJVNL, on instructions, submits that Chief Accounts Officer, UJVNL had written to Director, Pension and Entitlement on 05.05.2025 and 13.08.2025 to remove the technical glitch in IFMS Software so that retired employees of UJVNL may not suffer. He submits that there is no progress in the matter so far at the end of Directorate of Pension/Entitlements and the stalemate is still continuing. 8. Since the employer-UJVNL accepts its liability to pay revised pension, and as per the statement made by learned counsel for UJVNL, employer has already sanctioned revised pension to the petitioner way back in 2022, which is payable from 2016; however, on account of glitch in IFMS Software, petitioner is yet to receive the amount of revised pension, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent no. 4 to look into the matter and remove, whatever technical glitch is there in the IFMS Software, within six weeks from today, for ensuring that petitioner and other retired employee of UJVNL get their rightful dues.
