Learnr:d Standing Counsel for the Universrty submits that the last- date of applications for registration has been closed and the University cannot extend the date. He submits thar- the counselling process has comntenced, after the issue of 'local candidate, uras decided b_r. the Hon,ble Supreme Court ulde judgment dated 01.09.2025 in Special Leave Petitic,n (C) Nos.21536-21SBB of 2021. Therefore, the Universitl, would not be in a position to entertain the petitioner's .pplication for registration for admission to

Having regard^{to the aforesaid circumstancesand} upon consideration^{of the submissionof learnedcounsel} for the^{parties, we are of the view that since the admission} to MBBS/BDS^{coursehas a definitetimeiine required to be} adhered^{to by the Universitvand the cut off dates for} application^{or counseiling are sacrosanct' there is no point} in asking^{theUniversity toconsiderthepetitioner's} application^{for fresh registration and participating in the} ongoing^{counsellingfor admissionto MBBS/BDS course} under Management Quota^{'B'category'Therefore' we are} not inclined^{to issue any directions to that effect'}
