Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of lndia praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue a Writ, Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 2 in harassing the petitioners on the behest of the respondent no-3 and her family without following due procedure of law as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondent 2 not to harass the petitioners without following due process of law.

Heard the learned counsel for the parties and with their consent this writ petition is disposed of at the threshold.

The petitioners are aggrieved by the action of the respondent No.2, Station House Officer, WPS Peddapalli, Karimnagar District, in harassing the petitioners on the behest of the respondent No.3 and her family members without following due procedure of law, petitioners filed the present writ petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioner No. I is the son of petitioners No.2 and 3. Petitioner No.1 and the respondent No.3 were got married on O8.O6.2023 and thereafter disputes arose between them. While so, the petilioners were called for counseling by the respondent No.2 stating that the respondent No.3 has given a compiaint against them and harassing the petitioners at the behest of the respondent No.3.

On the other hand, the learned Assistant Government Pleader has placed a copy of the written instruclions dated O2.O9.2O25, based on which, it is submitted that the respondent No.3 has given a complaint on 25.07 .2025 to the respondent No.2 against the petilioners for torturing her for want of additional dowry. Based on the said complaint, the respondent No.2 made GD entry on 25.07.2025 and deputed Women SI of Police Ms.Rajamani to conduct

family counseling and preliminary enquiry and accordingly, conducted family counseling. It is further submitted that the respondent No.3 has addressed a letter to the respondent No.2 stating that she has given representation on 25.07.2025 and on O2.O8.2025 family counseling was made in the presence of elders and she requires some time for thinking the matter and requested to conduct another counseling on 23.08.2025. Since the petitioners have not attended the family counseling on 23.08.2025, the rcspondent No.2 Police called them but they did not attend thc counscling. Hence, the petition is pending. Eventually, it is submitted that in case if the counseling will be failed, the Police authority will follow due process of law before proceeding further.

In that view of the matter, recording the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the respondents Police authorit5r shall follow due process of law beforc proceeding further in the matter.
