transactions, the accused has become indebted to a tune of Rs.9,80,000/- to the complainant and the accused has accordingly acknowledged the liability in a statement dated 30.04.2007 written by the accused himself in favour of the complainant. The accused has issued seven post dated cheques, the complainant presented a cheque bearing Nos.74261O dated 28.02.2008 for Rs.1,3O000/-, cheque bearing No.742612 dated 30.07.2008 for Rs.1,50,000/- and cheque bearing No.742615 dated30.07.2008 for Rs.1,50,000/-. But, the said cheque was retumed on 26.07.2N8 and 18.08.2008 as dishonoured for want of sufficient funds in the account of the accused. Again on the instructions of accused the complaint presented the said cheques on 28.08.2008, but the said cheques were dishonoured for insufficient funds. Then, the complainant has got issued a statutory notice to the accused on 15.09.2008. The accused received the said notice but, failed to pay the cheque amounts and also failed to give any reply. Hence, the complaint.
