The present public interest litigation has been ltled by the petitioner stating that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is transporting the garbage in open box containers without taking precautions. It has been stated that certain diseases like COVID-19 infection are on rise on account of such transportation.
Learned counsel for the GHMC, appearing on advance notice, has stated categorically before this Court that the GHMC is taking all precautions while transporting the garbage and the GHMC is not transporting the garbage in the open box containers, as alleged in the present public interest litigation. it has also been stated that the transportation of garbage is being monitored by the GHMC and in future also, the GHMC wili ensure ttrat no transportation of garbage is carried out in open box containers.
In the light of the aforesaid, no further ord.ers are
required to be passed in thb present pubiic interest litigation.
The public interest litigation stands disposed of accordingly.
The miscellaneous applications pending, if any, sha11
stand closed. There shali be no order as to costs.
