As per the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, the case of the petitioner is that basing on the complaint filed by 6th respondent, who is his wife, a case in Crime No.15 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 324 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act was registered against him and others. After completion of investigation, the police filed charge sheet against A-2 to A-8 and showing the petitioner (A-1) as absconding and since he is in USA, he did not aware of said case and consequently, LOC was issued against him. When the petitioner returned from USA and landed in India at Airport, Bangalore on 28-05-2019, he was detained by Immigration authorities and handed over to 4th respondent and petitioner’s passport was also seized and was produced before the concerned Court on 29-08-2019 along with charge sheet and the same was numbered as CC.No.625 of 2018.
