Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue for the respondents.

Petitioners allege that they are the owners and are in possession of land to an extent of Acs.2.37 guntas in Survey No.188 of Marepally Village, Thimmajipet Mandal, Nagarkurnool District. They further allege that respondents 6 to 9 are in possession of land to an extent of Acs.2.36 guntas in Survey No.188. Petitioners claim that erroneously the names of respondents 6 to 9 were recorded in respect of land belonging to the petitioners to extent of Acs.2.37 guntas in addition to the land belonging to them to an extent of Acs.2.36 guntas and taking undue advantage of the wrong entries made in the revenue records, they have also obtained pattadar passbooks and title deeds. Aggrieved by the wrong entries made in the revenue records, petitioners preferred revision before the Joint Collector, Nagarkurnool, and the same is pending consideration. This writ petition is filed praying to issue pattadar passbooks and title deeds in favour of the petitioners and not to issue pattadar passbooks and title deeds in favour of respondents 6 to 9 in respect of land to an extent of Acs.2.37 guntas in Survey No.188, till disposal of the revision.

The names of unofficial respondents are reflected in the revenue records as regards the land in question. That being so, direction to the Tahsildar not to issue pattadar passbooks in

favour of the unofficial respondents, cannot be given. Pattadar passbooks only reflect the entries in the revenue records. As long as the entries in the revenue records are not corrected, the pattadar passbooks cannot be withheld merely on the ground that the revision is pending. Thus, no relief can be granted to the petitioners. However, having regard to the fact that the revision is pending for more than one year, the revisional authority is directed to dispose of the revision as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity to both the parties.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous

petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
