The only grievance of the petitioner is that though he had answered 125 questions correctly, he was awarded only 124 marks. Therefore, we directed Mr. V.Ramchander Goud, learned counsel for the University, to take notice and get instructions.

Today, the learned counsel for the University filed

a Memo which reads as follows:

“1. It is submitted that as per the “Important Instructions to the candidate”, which are printed on the Hall-Ticket, the candidates are instructed to take precautions while darkening the choice of answer in corresponding circle in the OMR Answer Sheet. It is further cautioned not to shade more than one circle for a question and that change of answer is not allowed.

It is submitted that the petitioner herein, at Answer No.5, darkened the choice No.2 partly ad also darkened choice No.4 fully due to which the machine gradable OMR Answer Sheet invalidated the Answer No.5.”

In the light of the above, it is clear that the OMR

Answer Sheet was valued properly, by the mechanical device and that therefore there is no reason to interfere. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
