Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home. With consent of the counsel appearing for both parties, the present Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

2. The present Writ Petition is filed with the following prayer: “to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly

one in the nature of a writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents herein in conducting any investigation and initiating any appropriate action against all concerned in pursuance to the petitioner’s complaint dated 23.06.2016 addressed to the 4^th respondent herein and registered as FIR No.63/2016, as highly illegal, arbitrary, malafide, irrational, unconstitutional, and to consequently direct the respondents herein to forthwith investigate and initiate appropriate action against all concerned in pursuance to the petitioner’s complaint dated 23.06.2016 addressed to the 4^th respondent herein and registered as FIR No.63/2016.”

The grievance of the petitioner is in spite of registering a crime for the offences punishable under Sections 324, 143, 148 read with 149 IPC, basing the on the report lodged by the petitioner, the respondents-police are neither proceeding further with the investigation nor initiating any appropriate action against the accused.

5. Learned Government Pleader for Home while opposing the same further submits that the crime was registered only on 23.06.2016 and it takes some time for the police to complete the

investigation.

6. Having regard to the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4^th respondent to proceed with the investigation, in accordance with law, and to file final report, as early as possible.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
