WRIT PETITION NO. 7505 OF 2002
ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed by the Union of India, challenging the order dated 06.08.2001 in O.A. No.261 of 2000 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Hyderabad Bench, Hyderabad (for short, ‘the Tribunal’), which was disposed of, by a common judgment in O.A.Nos. 268 of 2000 and batch.
2. Heard.
3. The Tribunal disposed of the Original Application observing that the applicants are entitled to be treated as having been promoted on regular basis, on par with the adhoc promotees who were absorbed in the enhanced promotion quota available after the amendment to the Recruitment Rules. This Court, while admitting the Writ Petition, observed as follows:
“It is brought to our notice by the learned Senior Central Government Standing Counsel that subsequent to disposal of O.A. by the Tribunal, the respondent herein has been promoted as Central Excise Inspector on permanent basis.
In such view of the matter, there is no need to pass any interim order at this stage.”
