This writ petition is instituted by the petitioner alleging that even though the petitioner has submitted an application for issuance of passport on 02.07.2009, so far passport is not issued nor he was communicated with any decision rejecting the grant of passport.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel representing the 1^st respondent submits that there are certain typographical mistakes in the passport application submitted by the petitioner. The respondent authorities made several attempts to contact the petitioner, but they could not contact him. As and when the petitioner approaches the competent authority, his passport application will be processed.

3. Having regard to the said submission of the learned Standing Counsel for the 1^st respondent, the writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to go to the passport office to rectify the mistakes and the passport

authority shall given an opportunity to the petitioner to rectify the mistakes in the application, process the application of the petitioner and take appropriate decision as warranted by law. No order as to costs.

4. As a sequel, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
