It is represented by Sri Koti Reddy Idamakanti, the learned Additional Solicitor General appearing for the writ petitioners that the issue involved in this writ petition is squarely covered by the decision of the Apex Court in Prasar Bharti and Others. v. Amarjeet Singh and Others[1] . It is also brought to our notice that following the ratio laid down in the above said decision, this Court allowed W.P.No.25895 of 2000 by order dated 12.07.2010.
Accordingly, following the judgment of the Apex Court in Prasar Bharti’s case, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
