Rs.1,000/- towards transportation charges, Rs.3,000/- towards medical expenditure and Rs.1,10,160/- towards permanent disability. The evidence on record, viz., the evidence of P.W.1 coupled with the evidence of doctors, who were examined as P.Ws.2 and 3 show that as a result of the accident, the claimant sustained fracture of incurious pubis, fracture of neck of femur and other bodily injuries. Their evidence also discloses that the claimant was treated as in-patient for 20 days at Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad. The evidence of P.W.1 also show that he got himself admitted in Gandhi Hospital on 20.10.2000 and thereafter underwent an operation on 23.10.2000, wherein screws were fixed. Though he was discharged from the hospital on 01.11.2000, he was again admitted in Gandhi Hospital on 30.07.2002 wherein he underwent another operation for removal of screws. At that time he was said to have been treated for 15 days as inpatient. In order to prove the nature of injuries sustained, the claimant relied on Exs.A3 and A4 and also the evidence of P.Ws.2 and 3. P.W.2 in his evidence deposed that the claimant was admitted in hospital on 20.06.2000. He noticed a fracture of neck of left femur and another fracture on pubic symphosis disruption. The claimant underwent operation on 29.06.2000, which was attended to by P.W.2. Subsequently, the claimant was discharged from the hospital on 08.07.2000. As the fracture was not healed, the injured was again admitted on 20.10.2000 and underwent a surgery on 23.10.2000. He was discharged on 01.11.2000. According to P.W.2, the claimant was again admitted in hospital on 30.07.2002, wherein he underwent surgery for removal of implants on 05.08.2002 and was discharged on 14.08.2002. After referring to Ex.A5 the disability certificate issued by the Medical Board, P.W.2 assessed the disability at 45% as permanent disability. Though P.W.2 was examined at length, nothing useful was elicited to discard his evidence. P.W.3 was working as Orthopaedic Surgeon in Gandhi Hospital during the said period. According to him, he was one of the doctors in Medical Board, which has issued Ex.A5.
