JUDGMENT:
This appeal arises out of award, dated 16.12.2003, in O.A.A.No.321 of 1999, on the file of the learned Railway Claims Tribunal, Secunderabad Bench at Secunderabad to the extent of nonaward of interest from the date of application till the date of award.
At the hearing, there is no representation for the appellants.
I have heard Sri B.H.R.Chowdary, learned counsel for the respondent.
The learned counsel for the respondent has not disputed that this Court has been allowing interest on the compensation awarded by the Railway Claims Tribunal at the rate of 6% from the date of application till the date of award.
In view of this undisputed fact, the CMA is partly allowed by awarding interest at the rate of 6% from 02.06.1999 i.e., date on which the application was filed, till 16.12.2003, the date of the award.
