11. The relationship between the plaintiff and the defendant is not in dispute. It is also not in dispute that out of their wedlock, the plaintiff and the defendant are blessed with two children. It is the specific case of the plaintiff that after two years of the marriage, the defendant developed bad vices and started ill-treating her, due to which she had to leave the matrimonial house and live with her parents. Though the defendant has disputed his monthly salary, the pay bill for the month of September, 2000 of the defendant, which was marked for reference as Ex.C1, shows that his gross salary for the said month was Rs.8,447/-. The O.P. was filed in the year 1999 and the same was disposed of on 22.05.2002 i.e., nearly 12 years prior to filing of the present appeal. Admittedly, the defendant is presently working as Assistant Manager. In this interregnum period of 12 years, by virtue of increments and promotions, the defendant must have been drawing not less than Rs.20,000/- per month. Further, though the defendant has taken a plea that the plaintiff is also working at Hyderabad, there is no evidence to accept the same. Having regard to the evidence on record and the fact that the plaintiff is the wife of the defendant, who is presently working as Assistant Manager, and also taking into consideration the amount required for maintaining two children, who were going to school at the relevant point of time, we are of the view that
