ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt K. Sarala Reddy, learned standing counsel for the respondents who has accepted notice on behalf of the respondents.
It is stated that the husband of the writ petitioner, while working as a mechanic with the A.P.S.R.T.C, expired in harness on 10.06.2011 leaving behind a son and daughter and the writ petitioner widow in helpless conditions. Therefore, the writ petitioner submitted a representation on 02.11.2012 seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. That claim was rejected, leaving it open to the petitioner to seek additional monetary benefit in lieu of compassionate appointment.
It is now brought to my notice that, after the State Government has passed orders through their G.O.Ms.No.2 Transport, Roads & Buildings (TR.II) Department dated 05.01.2013, a notification No.PD04/13 dated 02.03.2013 has been issued by the Managing Director of the Corporation, requesting all recruiting authorities to go ahead with the recruitment process to the categories of Drivers Gr.II, Conductors Gr.II and Shramiks or any other suitable post limiting the number as indicated in the annexure to the said circular. This consideration of appointments is confined to the number of applications registered under the bread-winners scheme formulated by the Corporation. Therefore, the respondents are directed to register, process and consider the case of the writ petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds in the bread-winners scheme formulated by the Corporation and pass appropriate orders thereon within a maximum period of three months from the date of receipt of this order.
Writ petition stands disposed of. Miscellaneous applications if
any, shall stand disposed of. No costs.
