Mukkamalla Venkateshwara Reddy, Vs The District Collector

This writ petition is filed questioning the inaction of respondent No.3 in considering the report stated to have been submitted by the Mandal Revenue Inspector, Markapur on 04.08.2010 for mutating the name of the petitioner in the record of rights in respect of several lands mentioned in para 3 of the affidavit.

Though this Court has admitted the writ petition and ordered notice as far back as 24.04.2013, no instructions have been reported by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue. In the writ petition, the petitioner filed a copy of the report dated 04.08.2010 of the Mandal Revenue Inspector, Markapur. The grievance of the petitioner is that respondent No.3 has not been taking any action on the said report.

In the light of the above facts, which remained uncontroverted, respondent No.3 is directed to consider the petitioner’s request for mutation of his name in the record of rights in the light of the abovementioned report of the Mandal Revenue Inspector, Markapur and communicate the decision to the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Subject to the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.15460 of 2013 filed by the petitioner for interim relief shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
