The petitioner claims to be in possession of Ac.1.05 cents comprising Sy.No.26/4 of Hanumepalle Revenue Village, V.Kota Mandalam, Chittoor District. Taking into consideration of the representation made by the petitioner, the Tahasildar, V.Kota Mandal – respondent No.3 issued D-Form patta through proceedings No.A.M.No.10/4/0405, dated 29-12-1995 in respect of Ac.1.05 cents comprising Sy.No.26/4 of Hanumepalle Revenue Village, V.Kota Mandalam, Chittoor District. The Tahasildar, V.Kota Mandalam, Chittoor District – respondent No.3 cancelled the assignment through his proceedings D.Dis.91/2011, dated 21-9-2011 and directed the Mandal Revenue Inspector to resume the land. The petitioner filed a statutory appeal before the Sub-Collector, Madanapalle – respondent No.2. The said appeal ended in dismissal and thereupon he filed revision before the Joint Collector & Additional District Magistrate, Chittoor – respondent No.1 along with stay application. Pending the revision, the petitioner, apprehending dispossession, approached this Court invoking jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
