THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE R. KANTHA RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.10583 of 2013
ORDER:
This criminal petition is filed by the petitioners-Accused Nos.1 and 2 under Sections 437 and 439 of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking bail in Crime No.30 of 2013-14 of Prohibition & Excise Station, Kachiguda, Hyderabad, registered for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners - Accused Nos.1 and 2 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-state.
3. The occurrence report discloses that a huge quantity of ganja, i.e., 191 kgs was seized in a vehicle in the presence of the petitioners and others while it was being transported. According to the prosecution, the petitioners were transporting the ganja.
4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
