ORDER:
This contempt case is filed with the grievance that order dated 29.04.2013 in W.P.No.9615 of 2013 has not been complied with.
The respondent filed a counter-affidavit wherein it is inter alia averred that in connection with the allotment of house numbers to the petitioners, he sought legal opinion from the Standing Counsel on 15.04.2013, that the Standing Counsel gave his opinion on 16.04.2013, that in pursuance of the said opinion, the respondent has addressed letters dated 17.04.2013 and 18.06.2013 to the Tahsildar, Manthani, seeking clarification as to whether his proceedings dated 04.06.1999, by which allotment was made to the petitioners, was still in existence or not, and that as no reply from the Tahsildar was received, the respondent has allotted house numbers to the petitioners as detailed in paragraph 3 of the counter-affidavit. The respondent has accordingly averred that with the allotment of house numbers, he has complied with the order of this Court.
Mr. K. Jagadishwar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners, submitted that so far he has not received any information from his clients as to whether the respondent has allotted the house numbers or not.
Even in the absence of confirmation by the petitioners on the allotment of house numbers, I do not find any reason to doubt the veracity of the statement of the respondent made in the counter-affidavit. As the respondent is stated to have allotted the house numbers as mentioned in his counter-affidavit, the order passed by this Court in the writ petition stands complied with.
The contempt case is accordingly closed.
