A notification, dated 21.12.1981, was issued by the District Collector, Guntur proposing to acquire various extents of land for providing house sites in Nandivelugu Village. The respondent herein passed an award fixing the market value at Rs.17,500/- per acre. Not satisfied with that, the appellant herein sought for reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. Another person, by name Nunnam Rama Rao, whose land was also acquired, made a similar request. The respondent referred the matters to the civil Court. Thereupon, the Court of the Principal Senior Civil Judge, Tenali took the references as L.A.O.P.Nos.317 and 318 of 1984. Through a common order, dated 07.11.1988, the trial Court enhanced the compensation to Rs.50,000/- per acre. The respondent, however filed A.S.No.1002 of 1993 against the decree in L.A.O.P.No.317 of 1984. A Division Bench of this Court passed an order, dated 27.01.2000, setting aside the decree in L.A.O.P.No.317 of 1984 and remanding the matter to the trial Court for fresh consideration. After such remand, the trial Court passed an order, dated 15.02.2001, enhancing the compensation to Rs.35,000/- per acre. Feeling aggrieved by that, the appellant filed this appeal.
