2. The petitioners, three (3) in number, claim to be landless poor, and to have been allotted plots in R.S. No.440-1/B of Vijayawada Urban Mandal and City. An approved layout is said to have been prepared and, pursuant thereto, the petitioners are said to have been allotted plot Nos.110, 113 and 111 respectively and granted pattas in respect thereof. The petitioners would assert that an extent of 10 feet of land had been left for road formation between plot Nos.105, 106 & 108 and 110, 111-B & 112; and respondent Nos.4 to 6, who were granted pattas in respect of plot Nos.105, 106 and 108, had encroached on the area meant for the 10 feet road, resulting in the other residents of the layout being put to a lot of inconvenience. The petitioners refer to the writ petition filed by one of them in W.P. No.7110 of 2001 which was disposed of by order dated 16-04-2001 directing respondent No.1 to make an appropriate enquiry into the matter with reference to the representation dated 27-02-2001 and take an appropriate decision thereon in accordance with law within a period of four weeks.
