Writ Petition No.6247 of 2001
ORDER:
The petitioners were enlisted as Home Guards by the Superintendent of Police, Nizamabad, the 4th respondent herein. However, their names were removed from the rolls, without any notice to them, and without conducting enquiry. They feel aggrieved by the action of the respondents in discontinuing them as Home Guards.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Home.
While admitting the writ petition, this Court passed interim order on 06-04-2001, and that enabled the petitioners to continue in service. This was obviously because the removal of their names from the rolls was not on the basis of any disciplinary proceedings, nor any notice was issued to them.
The learned Government Pleader for Home has placed before this Court, a copy of the order dated 06-07-2003, through which, the petitioners have been re-enrolled. With that, the grievance of the petitioners stands redressed.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. The miscellaneous petitions filed in this writ petition also shall stand disposed of.
There shall be no order as costs.
