Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner who was working as Technical Assistant under Society for Rural Development Services (For short, ‘SRDS’), suffered an order of termination, dated 06-08-2010 by the Project Director, District Water Management Agency, Warangal District. Aggrieved thereby, as per the proceedings of the Project Director dated 2508-2010, the petitioner filed an appeal before the Member Secretary, SRDS, Hyderabad on 02-09-2010.
The primary grievance of the petitioner is that the said appeal is pending since then and the petitioner’s contentions raised in the appeal are not being considered, resulting in prejudice to him. Various other grounds are raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner, but I am not inclined to go into any of those contentions in view of the fact that the appeal is pending with the competent authority and as such I deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition by directing the Member Secretary-third respondent herein to hear and decide the petitioner’s appeal, in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
Accordingly, with the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of, at the stage of admission. There shall be no order as to
costs.
