O R D E R:
This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not providing security to the petitioners, as arbitrary and illegal and consequently, to direct respondent No.2 to pass orders on the representation, dated 07.04.2012 made by the petitioners.
2. The grievance of the petitioners is that apart from their business activities they are active politics in public life. They have several business rivals and political foes. As there is a threat to their lives, they gave representation on 07.04.2012 to respondent No.2, but so far no action has been taken.
3. Heard.
4. Appropriate decision has to be taken by respondent No.2 in accordance with law particularly with reference to G.O.Rt.No.655 Home (SC.B) Department, dated 13.09.1997.
5. Therefore, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to take appropriate decision on the representation of the petitioners, dated 07.04.2012, in accordance with law particularly with reference to the above mentioned G.O., within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order if it is available in its office, otherwise, the petitioners are at liberty to file fresh representation to respondent No.2. There shall be no order as to costs.
6. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
