ORDER:
This writ petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in seeking to dispossess the petitioners from the land admeasuring 1910 Sq. yards forming part of Sy. Nos.285, 285/B, 286/B, 286/E and 286 in Town Sy. No.514/3 of Koretapadu Village, Guntur District, without due process of law, as illegal and arbitrary, and for consequential directions.
It is submitted on behalf of the State authorities by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue (Assignment) that the land of the petitioners was not taken possession under Section 10(6) of the Urban Land (Ceiling & Regulation) Act, 1976 (for short, ‘the Act’) and in fact the State is not taking any steps with regard to the lands in question since the said Act was repealed and is not in force. The writ petition is filed only on apprehension and no orders need be passed in the writ petition.
After hearing the learned Assistant Government Pleader, it appears that the writ petition is filed only on apprehension and no orders need be passed in this writ petition at this stage.
Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
