in USA till 25-3-2005, on which day they returned to India. On reaching Hyderabad on 25-3-2005, Srilaskhmi informed the petitioner over phone of her proceeding to Vijayawada. On 27-03-2003, Srilakshmi and A-1 to A-3 reached Penamaluru and at about 21.30 hours, Srilakshmi telephoned to the petitioner and complained of her being weak and requested her to send her sister to take her to Kovvur. On 28-3-2003 at about 3.30 AM, A-2-Aravapalli Prabhakarrao informed her over phone that the deceased was unwell and asked her to come over to Penamaluru. The petitioner accompanied by her younger daughter reached Penamalur and found her daughter Aravapalli Srilakshmi dead. A-2 and A-3 informed her that Smt. Aravapalli Srilakshmi had severe heart attack and immediately, they shifted her to Nagarjuna Hospital, Kanuru, where the doctors examined and declared her dead. After performing her last rights, the petitioner and her relations left Penamaluru and reached Kovvur on 30-3-2005. Two days thereafter, friends of her daughter informed her over phone from America that the death of Srilakshmi was not natural one and that she was subjected to cruelty, both mentally and physically. Thereupon, Pilli Suryanarayana-husband of the petitioner presented a report before the Sub Inspector of Police, Penamaluru P.S., which formed the basis for registration of a case in Crime No.179 of 2003 for the offence under Section 498-A IPC. After completion of investigation, the S.I of Police, Penamaluru P.S filed charge sheet against A-1 to A-3 for the offence under Section 498-A IPC. Thereafter, the SHO filed additional charge sheet against A-1 to A-3 for the offence under Section 306 IPC.
