This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C to quash proceedings in Cr.No.127 of 2009 of Sirivella Police Station registered for the offence punishable under Section 498-A IPC read with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act and Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. on the file of the Court of Judicial First Class Magistrate, Allagadda, Kurnool district. Both the parties are present before the Court.

It is represented by the learned counsel appearing on either side that both the parties have compromised the matter subject to payment of Rs.3,50,000/- (Rupees three lakhs and fifty thousand only) to the second respondent-wife and to that effect, memorandum of compromise has been filed before the Court. They prayed for allowing the petition. It is further stated that earlier a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only) was paid to her and whereas the remaining amount of Rs.1,50,000/(Rupees one lakh and fifty thousand only) is being paid to her in the Court itself. The respondent-wife has represented that she received the entire amount having received a part of it before the Court.

Both the parties informed on hearing the terms of compromise read out that they compromised accordingly. Consequently, recording the compromise entered into between the parties, this petition is allowed as prayed for.
