ORDER:
The present writ petition is filed by the petitioners seeking for a writ of mandamus to declare the action of respondent in issuing the impugned proceedings Lr.No:TDC/DVM (H)/Photographers-BS/2008, dated 27.12.2008 as illegal and arbitrary and to direct the respondent to continue them as a Freelance Photographers for taking photographs of Tourist at Buddha Statue in Hussain Sagar, Hyderabad.
Under the impugned proceedings, the petitioners are advised to hand over their identity cards to the Deputy Manager, WFU, Hussain Sagar on the ground that their contract period is going to expire on 31.12.2008.
Along with the writ petition, the petitioners have also filed W.P.M.P.No:37537 of 2008 seeking to suspend the operation of the
proceedings in Lr.No:TDC/DVM (H)/Photographers-BS/2008, dated 27.12.2008 by continuing them as a Freelance Photographers for taking photographs of Tourist at Buddha Statue in Hussain Sagar, Hyderabad.
On 31.12.2008 while ordering Rule nisi, this Court granted interim direction in W.P.M.P.No:37537 of 2008 to the effect that any appointments made pursuant to the impugned notification are subject to the result of the writ petition.
At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition.
Permission is accorded.
Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No
costs.
