COMMON ORDER:

These Writ Petitions pertain to the claims of the petitioners for debt relief in pursuance of the Government Scheme of the year 2008.

During the pendency of these Writ Petitions, the Government announced a new Scheme in the year 2010 by enhancing the debt relief to 50% as against 25% announced in the 2008 Scheme.

Sri Y.Subrahmanyam, learned counsel for the petitioners stated that claiming relief under the new Scheme, the petitioners herein filed W.P.Nos.15314, 15315, 15317, 15338, 15340 and 15341 of 2010 and that the same are pending. The learned counsel conceded that the issues raised in these Writ Petitions are also raised in the later Writ Petitions. Therefore, in my opinion, in view of these subsequent events, these Writ Petitions need not be adjudicated on merits. They are accordingly disposed of without prejudice to the right of the petitioners to pursue the later Writ Petitions. It is made clear that disposal of these Writ Petitions would not debar the petitioners from raising the contentions raised in these Writ Petitions in the later Writ Petitions.

As a sequel to disposal of the Writ Petitions, WPMP Nos.28158, 28159, 28176, 28182, 28194 of 2008, in the respective Writ Petitions are disposed of as infructuous.
