CRIMINAL PETITION No.10031 of 2011

ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to quash the proceedings in Crime No.63 of 2011 of B. Mattam P.S., Y.S.R. Kadapa District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 506 IPC and Section 3(1)(x) of the S.Cs and S.Ts (Prevention of Atrocities) Act,1989.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that there are some disputes between the 1^st respondent and the petitioners and others and they have filed cases against each other with regard to the same land and that the 1^st respondent gave a report on 7.8.2011 to the police as a counter blast without giving date of the alleged offence and which accused abused him touching his caste name and that there is possibility of settlement of disputes between the parties and hence he prays to allow the petition.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, especially in view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners to the effect that there is settlement between the parties, the Station House Officer, B. Mattam P.S., Y.S.R. Kadapa District, is directed to complete the investigation of the case without arresting the petitioners and file final report either way.

With the above observation, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous Petitions filed in this Criminal Petition, if any, shall stand closed.
