This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief:
“It is therefore prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction more in the nature of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein forbear from interfering/obstructing the petitioner club in the Vision Gym and Recreation Club Pvt Ltd., rep. By its Director Lakkadi Harshawardhan Reddy, in the premises of petitioner Club, Vidyanagar, Khanapur Post and Mandal, Adilabad Distrct from conducting the card rooms where the members or guests of the petitioner club are allowed to play the game of rummy with stake/syndicate (13 cards game) and also with lawful activities of the petitioner’s club situated at by duly declaring the action of the respondents in interfering with the lawful activities of the petitioner club including playing of rummy game is nothing but arbitrary, illegal and violative of Article 14 of the Constitution of India and also contrary to the provisions of A.P.Gaming Act, 1974.”
At the hearing, Sri C.Hari Preeth, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that the cause in the writ petition does not survive for consideration.
Hence, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
As a sequel to dismissal of main petition as infructuous, WPMP No.24292 of 2006 filed by the petitioner for interim relief is disposed of as infructuous.
