The petitioner and the second respondent are present in person before the Court and they are identified by Sri K.Rathanga Pani Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner.

In the affidavit enclosed to the criminal petition, the second respondent stated that his apprehensions and allegations against the petitioner are not true. The petitioner stated before the Court also that he compromised all his differences and disputes with the petitioner and hence, the further criminal proceedings may be quashed. The petitioner also reiterated his request.

The material on record discloses that the disputes are purely personal in nature not involving any public policy and though the allegations in the first information report appear to be relating to the affairs of the gram panchayath, which may touch upon the public interest, now the second respondent states that the allegations are not true. There is no purpose in continuing the prosecution in view of the

compromise and the vexing litigation should be put an end to by invoking inherent jurisdiction by taking a pragmatic view. Therefore, the further proceedings in crime No.91 of 2009 of Aize Police Station, Mahabub Nagar District, against the petitioner are quashed and the criminal petition is allowed. The parties are informed.
