The petitioner was placed under suspension, through proceedings, dated 31.10.2005, by the 2^nd respondent, on certain serious allegations and charges. The petitioner claims to have presented an appeal under Regulation 13 of the Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board Employees Discipline and Appeal Regulations before the 1^st respondent on 22.11.2005 against the order of suspension. His grievance is that the appeal has not been disposed of by the 1^st respondent so far, and seeks appropriate directions.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

The order of suspension itself was passed as recently as about one and half months ago. The appeal was presented before the 1^st respondent on 24.11.2005. By no stretch of imagination, it can be said that there was undue delay on the part of the 1^st respondent in disposing of the appeal. This Court is not inclined to grant any specific directions, except directing the 1^st respondent to dispose of the appeal within a reasonable time.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the 1^st respondent to pass appropriate orders in the appeal as early as possible, preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
