Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the Affidavit filed herein the High Court will be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction more in the nature of Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to the order of the Hon'ble A.P. Administrative Tribunal dt: 26-32004 in O.A.No.1454/2004 and batch and quash the same by holding it as illegal, bad and arbitrary and further direct the respondents to follow the length of service in the category of Superintending Engineer while effecting promotions to the post of Chief Engineer or in the alternative to follow the actual date of entry into the category of Dy. Executive Engineer without reference to the notional dates.

This Writ Petition is directed against an interim order of the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal dated 26-03-2004, in O.A.Nos. 1454. 2012 and 2129 of 2004, whereby the learned Tribunal had directed to review the panel of
Superintending Engineers for promotion as Chief Engineers, by keeping in view the Special Rules issued in A.P. Engineering Service Rules and A.P. State and Subordinate Service Rules, without applying the ad hoc rule issued in G.O.Ms.No.627, dated 21-12-1983.
Sri J.R. Manohara Rao the learned counsel for the petitioners states that now the petitioners have been temporarily promoted as Chief Engineers and as such they do not wish to pursue the writ petition.
The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed as withdrawn at the stage of admission. The interim stay granted by this Court on 27-04-2004 stands dissolved. No costs.
