Petition under Article 226 of the constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the Affidavit filed herein the High Court may be pleased to issue a Writ, order or direction, more particularly a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondent in not correcting the entries in the Pattadar pass book in respect of the Petitioner's land in Undi Village and Mandal, West Godavari District, as illegal and contrary to the provisions of the A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 and consequently direct the respondents to effect necessary corrections in the petitioner's pattadar pass book.

Petitioner claims to be the owner of land admeasuring Ac.1.26 cts. in sy.No.669-2A made an application for issuance of Pattadar Pass Book on 14-05-1996 and accordingly, Pattadar Pass Book was issued in his name to an extent of Ac.0.90 cts. In view of the same, he made a representation to the respondent on 02-07-1996 and thereafter several representations were made for rectification of the same. But the respondent has not evinced anything so far. Therefore, the petitioner moved this Court by way of present writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue and at their request the writ petition itself is disposed of at the admission stage.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioner made an application for correction of entry with regard to extent of land in Sy.No.669-2A, respondent is under obligation to consider the same and pass appropriate orders after due notice to the parties.

Accordingly, the respondent is hereby directed to consider the petitioner’s representation and pass appropriate orders within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
