Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner was holding the post of Paricharak in respondent- Department, who passed away on 21.06.2025 while he was in service. Learned counsel further submits that father of the petitioner was sole bread earner in the family and his sudden death has brought the entire family in grave financial stress, therefore, in the light of provisions of the Rajasthan Compassionate Appointment of Dependents of Deceased Government Servants Rules, 1996 (hereinafter to be referred as 'the Rules of 1996'), the petitioner submitted an application dated

12.10.2025 for seeking compassionate appointment in place of his deceased father.

Learned counsel further submits that although more than six months have expired since, the date of submitting the application, but the same has not been decided by the respondents till this date.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record.

Sole object of framing the Rules of 1996 is to provide immediate financial relief and support to the family, whose sole bread earner, being government employee, has died leaving the entire family in financial stress. Thus, under these circumstances, the application, if any, filed under the Rules of 1996, should be decided without causing any delay whatsoever.

In view of above, this Court deems it just and proper to direct the respondents to consider and decide the application filed by the petitioner for seeking compassionate appointment within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order strictly in accordance with law.

This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.

Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of.
