“Being aggrieved by termination of services of the petitioners as WDT Members, this writ petition has been filed by the petitioners.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that although the qualification of possessing engineering degree in civil/agriculture was relaxed by the State Government by way of issuing general order dated 20.02.2008, yet ignoring such relaxation, services of the petitioners were terminated alleging that the petitioners were not qualified.
Learned counsel for the respondents is directed to apprise the Court with regard to duration for which WDT Members were appointed by the State Government. Respondents are also required to apprise this Court as to whether the other persons who were also appointed as WDT Members at the relevant time are still continuing or not.
Let the matter be listed on 23rd February, 2026.“
