Petitioner-accused Dinesh Vishnoi sought regular bail under S. 483 BNSS in FIR No. 196/2024, offence under Ss. 8/15 NDPS Act; counsel urged that the first bail application had been withdrawn with liberty to apply afresh once charges were framed, and that the accused has been in judicial custody since 31.08.2025. The Court noted the charge of illegal transport of doda post in a car fitted with a fake number plate, recovery from the accused of 49 kg 580 g of doda post against the 50 kg commercial quantity (marginally below commercial quantity), five antecedent criminal cases (four under the NDPS Act), and found the allegations extremely serious.
