In instant Civil Contempt Petition, disobedience of an interim stay order dated 10.09.2024 passed in DB Special Appeal Writ No.536/2024, has been alleged.

Vide interim order dated 10.09.2024, this Court directed the respondents to maintain status quo in respect of vacancies of Livestock Assistant, fallen vacant due to cancellation of appointment of the appellants

Counsel for respondents, on the strength of reply to the contempt petition, pointed out that since final result of Livestock Assistant was revised on 01.03.2024 and in pursuance thereof, after cancellation of previous appointments, fresh appointments have already been made in the month of March 2024. As per revised result, on the date of passing the interim order dated 10.09.2024, only 22 vacant posts are available, which are still lying vacant. Specific details of all the vacant posts have been given out in Para Nos. 2 to 8 of the reply.

In view of the reply submitted by respondents, we do not find that respondents are guilty of committing disobedience of the interim stay order dated 10.09.2024, hence, no case of contempt of the order dated 10.09.2024 is made out.

Accordingly, the proceedings of instant contempt petition are closed and the contempt petition stands disposed of. Notices of contempt stand discharged.
