The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioners

¶31

with the following prayer:-

“I. issue a writ order or direction in the nature thereof thereby direct the respondents to remove illegal road construction of agriculture land of petitioners whereas as Khasra No.550, 826, 827, 828 and 2254 reserve for public road in the larger interest of justice.

¶33

II. That respondent be directed that if necessity arises to construction of road from the agriculture field of petitioners, then acquired the land of petitioners and pay compensation.

¶34

III. Issue any other writ order or direction, which this Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper, may kindly be passed in favour of the petitioners.

¶35

IV. Cost of the writ petition be also awarded in favour of the petitioners.”

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that before

approaching this Court, the petitioners have approached the

authorities concerned by way of filing representation, but no heed has been paid, so appropriate directions be issued to the authorities concerned to decide the representation of the petitioners by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

Looking to the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioners, the instant writ petition stands disposed of with directions to the respondents to decide the representation (pending, if any) expeditiously as early as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

Stay application as well as all applications (pending, if any) also stand disposed of.

¶44

Before parting with the order, it is made clear that this Court has not passed any direction to the respondents to decide the representation of the petitioners in a particular way. The respondent-authorities would be at liberty to decide the same strictly in accordance with law.
