The present petition is filed seeking directions for grant of compassionate appointment and reimbursement of medical expenses. Withal, the impugned order dated 17.01.2012 is assailed. The following prayers are made by the counsel representing the petitioner:

‘(i) The impugned inaction of the respondent in reimbursing bill for medical expenses of angiography of Rs.1,30,000/- of late Shri Narayan Vyas may kindly be declared illegal and arbitrary and therefore, same may kindly be quashed and set aside.

(ii) The respondents may kindly be directed by issuing by writ of mandamus, order, direction in the

nature thereof, to reimburse medical expenses of Rs.1,30,000/- alongwith interest @ 18% per annum to the petitioners;

(iii) The impugned order dated 17.01.2012 may kindly be declared illegal and arbitrary and therefore, may kindly be quashed and set aside.

(iv) The respondents may kindly be directed by issuing by writ of mandamus, order direction in the nature thereof, to give appointment to petitioner no.2 on compassionate basis with all consequential benefits in the interest of justice.

(v) Any other appropriate order or direction which this Hon’ble Court deems just and proper in the facts and circumstances of this case may kindly also be passed in favour of the petitioner.’

Considering the arguments made by respective parties and taking note of the fact that the present petition pertains to the year 2012 after which much water has flown, this Court directs the petitioner to file a representation before the competent authority/respondents, who shall adjudicate the same by way of a speaking order, strictly in accordance with law.

The instant petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed.
