This contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 13.12.2024 passed by this Court in D.B. Civil Writ Petition No.17242/2024-Dr. Gopal Ram Vs.

State of Rajasthan & Ors.

The order of this Court required the respondents to pass necessary orders treating them in service till attaining the age of 62 years in individual cases with consequential benefits of continuity of service. It was further directed that all other consequential action would also be required to be taken which include refixation of pension and other benefits.

It is submitted that even after lapse of more than three months, the respondents have not completed the exercise, as directed by this Court.

The nature of exercise, which is required to be undertaken under the order dated 13.12.2024 involves consideration and computation part and passing of appropriate orders regarding adjustments, if any required.

Taking into consideration that the contempt petition has been filed just after three months of the order passed by this Court, we are not inclined to initiate contempt proceedings, at this stage. 7. The contempt petition, at this stage, stands disposed of. It is expected that the respondents will take necessary steps, as directed, within a reasonable period. If no order is passed and no appropriate action is taken within a period of six months from the date of the order passed by this Court i.e. 13.12.2024, the petitioner will be at liberty to file fresh contempt petition.
